QPUStatus

The Mission

QPUStatus was created to bring transparency to the quantum cloud. As quantum computing moves from lab experiments to cloud-accessible hardware, researchers and developers need a centralized, real-time view of hardware availability and queue depth.

Why Telemetry Matters

Quantum Processors (QPUs) aren't like standard web servers. They require constant calibration, cooling cycles, and environmental tuning. A device might be "Online" on a provider's marketing page, but "Unavailable" for job submission due to a maintenance window. We bridge that gap by polling live routing endpoints every few minutes.

How it Works

Our backend runs on a highly optimized serverless architecture. We utilize secure, signed API requests to query the health and queue depths of major quantum providers including AWS Braket and Azure Quantum.

This data is processed and stored in a globally distributed database, allowing us to provide historical uptime trends and latency charts without putting unnecessary load on the providers themselves.

Unofficial & Independent

QPUStatus is an independent, community-focused project. We are not employees, partners, or representatives of IonQ, Rigetti, Oxford Quantum Circuits, AWS, or Microsoft.

This project is maintained out of a passion for quantum computing and a desire for better developer tools. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners.
